Weighing Bear

Hi Everyone here I am with my first DT card for today, it's for the challenge at QKR. Our challenge is on the 1st and 15th of every month, so you have 2 chances every month to enter the challenge.

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

My lovely image is a bear with a scales, I had a couple of quotes to go with it after pondering around the web and decided to go with this one, with a fun insert. I did a print and cut of the image and paper pieced his waistcoat before printing. I then coloured him with DI's added gold glitter pen to the scales and added glaze to them so they really shine, I added glaze to his eyes also, shame you can't see it in the photo. The background was printed with the sentiment, then added to the ready made card and the bear added and 3D'd. As the sentiment says no excess I left the card simple.

inks - Distress inks
paper - Scrumptiously, Digital Scrapbooking Pixelscrapper

  12. Bwahaha, love the sentiment front and inside! I've been working with this brand of digi. Several that I like and now have. And one of them is this guy! Bought it because I make a card for a lawyer. Love your card and your paper piecing is fab. I bow at your feet, that is a technique I do not do well!

  13. Fab paper piecing on his vest, Faith! Only a very confident bear could get away with a plaid vest and a polka dot tie. But he's both fun and fantastic. :-D
