Hi Everyone, my card is a case today from HERE. It's rare I visit Pinterest, but it was the only way to get me going. I thought I would just get an ink pad any colour and go with it. I haven't labeled my ink storage yet, as it happens it was Chipped Sapphire. I grabbed stamps and went for it. Luckily I had a ribbon to match.
The script stamp, I stamped, then moved it twice to get the faded look. I then inked the blossom stamp and the birthday stamp, then over stamped with an embossing pad and clear powder, to clear heat emboss. I used DI's in the same colour to colour the bunches.
I positioned the ribbon and the butterfly, then added 3D tape along the entire back of the stamped piece and placed it onto the ready made card. I then decided to use the left over piece of card I cut the 2 others from and do something a little different, layered it onto navy card from which I also cut the butterflies.
I hope SiL will be happy with them, just to get a few more done for her. Maybe now I've started I can keep it up?
Here is a video of a shower of rain on Sunday afternoon. Just something to keep me active - taking a video of rain falling! Well I got out of my crafty chair to take it!
Hi Faith, these are so beautiful, perfectly CAS, love the stamps you used and the navy blue is always so lovely, sure your sil will be delighted, I love them.

I love the color of the ink. It's a beautiful card. What a nice yard you have and wow was it raining cats and dogs. [Bunny]

ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards, beautifully design and I love the colours, so striking, Kate x
Lovely set of blue cards Faith. Great clean design and great blues. I do like your ink storage and "rain" photo. Stay well. xx
ReplyDeleteHey, Faith,
ReplyDeleteYour card is absolutely beautiful!
It is a bit much, I think for CAS. True CAS generally requires more white space on the card. If you have covered more than 50% of the card with images or ink, then it usually doesn't qualify for CAS challenges. But, we will see how this challenge handles their entries. The rules are changing.
But I love everything about this project. Chipped Sapphire is one of my favorites. I think Chipped Sapphire and Bundled Sage are not used enough.
Great work and good luck with your challenge entry!

Oh Faith such beautiful cards totally gorgeous and I can confirm we've had lots of rain too lol hugs Sue x
ReplyDeleteYour cards look so pretty Faith such a lovely design, I bet your SIL will love them. Your ink storage looks impressive too xx
ReplyDeleteLove these - a beautiful CAS design and it looks great in chipped sapphire too.
ReplyDeleteOff to look into the ink storage as I have some for my DIs but my oxides are all bundled together.

What a fantastic ombre look to the stamping, Faith! I'm going to have to use that technique. I love your card designs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious of your rain video, too. We are in a desperate drought here in California; no rain for 4 months and even our winter load of snow in the mountains (from which we get about 50% of our stored water in the reservoirs during the spring melt) was considerably below normal. I hope our drought doesn't last for 5 years as it did a few years back.
Beautiful blog
ReplyDeleteThree lovely monochromatic cards. Perfick! xxx
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so pretty with the lovely butterflies, text, and ribbon! Wonderful ink storage for your inks! I have mine in a drawer that is difficulty to see at times. Take care and have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI love the ombré look you've given the script stamping Faith. That blossom was a real find as a mag freebie and it looks so pretty stamped over the script. It's lovely to see you coming to play at Addicted to CAS! Vicky x

ReplyDeletehELLO Hello Faith! Hope you are well. Wonderful cards to have in inventory! I'm a terrible one to judge but those look very CAS to me, says Ms. Kitchen Sink Junker cardmaker, lolol. No really, they do and nicely ombre' as well. LOVE how you just grabbed an ink pad! Had a little look at Lisa Horton stuff, thank you for enabling, but I don't do Craftstash USA, had a bad experience. You are very lucky to have her selling these in UK. It's an awesome storage shelf! Have a great day, xoxoxo
