Thumbs up

Hi Everyone, a card due to the photography I shouldn't really show you, but here goes, at least you will have an idea of how it sort of looked!

I had forgotten to make a Congratulations card for hubby's Nephew, who did very well in his exams and starts a 5 year University course after which he gets a Masters, so a sort of rushed card, designed and then printed from Photoshop, I had the idea in mind and was going to hand paint it, but with time of the essence, I did it digitally. I was pleased and also pleased when it was print and cut with a few layers on the digital cutting machine.

I put it all together and took a quick photo, before putting it into an envelope and delivering it. However I should have checked the photo before I gave it to him, as it has lost a lot of the colour. the second photo are the original colours, I expect I had the lights to bright in the light box. grrr. No amount of alteration in Photoshop could get it correct, must learn more methinks! You get the  gist I hope. I also wish you could see the layers and his "out front fist". Oh! well enough complaining I could have just forgotten it, but I was so pleased with the end result I had to add it.

image - Thumbs up KennyK, sadly no longer available.
the labels are from various scrapbook kits.
the pills are a free image on the web.

These are the colours I did and it should be.

  7. A fabulous card Faith, a fun image and another super sentiment - I am rarely pleased with my photography efforts, the camera sometimes seems to have a mind of its own!

  10. What a difference. I so miss the Kenny K images. Mine were accidentally deleted. There is one that I wish I had back as it was a furry kitty cat. I had one image that I had already printed. I colored it up and wanted to color another only to find that the whole Kenny K file folder was gone. [Bunny]

  11. Well Faith, I'm so glad you shared this card anyway cause it is fabulous! I love how it looks like the fella is popping right out of the circle. So fun and how fitting for your nephew. He is a rising star for sure. Lighting and camera's is a tricky thing and most of us struggle getting those true colors to shine. I will say though, the "off" colored card looks great as does the proper colored card, so it is a win win with either look! Yes, the proper colored one is deeper and richer, but still, the card is stinking cute no matter how the colors come across! Hugs, Brenda

  14. I think this is fantastic, Faith! I had almost forgotten about Kenny K images but recognized that this was one of them immediately. Well done. My youngest granddaughter is working toward a pharmacy degree but is getting the college basics out of the way at the local college before transferring to a university out of state.
