Hi Everyone, with mojo still in abeyance, I was lucky to see that my blog friend Shirley had done another wonderful design for me to play with. I had no thinking, in fact, that was a sad fact, because I cut the card 1mm short of the edge of the card I used, which meant that the beautiful small scallops were cut off one edge. I had to cut the other edges straight, as I didn't have time to cut another card. Such a shame, but I will use the card file another time and include the small scallops.
A simple stamping in the centre which I heat embossed, then die cut the birds and added them to the 3D'd centre. I added black card to the inside of the cut pattern.
A beautiful card,love the design.xxx

ReplyDeleteWell there might have been issues to start, but you came out with one classy, elegant looking card Faith! Yes, the scallops would have been nice, but it looks just as beautiful without them too. I am really loving the birds on the wire cute out. And your sentiment is perfect! Hugs, Brenda

ReplyDeleteThat's adorable! Sorry not sorry but I'm giggling at your mishaps, makes me feel not alone! BUT I have to wonder if this is side effect of the vax? Ok, just kidding! Read to day that Boris extended lockdown 4 weeks. Now you will have plenty of MORE home time for cards! heehee Cases are up here in Texas and other states - it's a rollercoaster, sigh! Thanks as always for all your comments at my place. I am still on a high about winning QKR! Big Hugs! xoxo

Hello Faith! I spotted over at Sally's rant about stamps being made in China etc. that you sort of gave up on stamping. Have you tried the Misti? Other stamping platforms are also available - that just happens to be what I use. And it transformed my stamping - would be on my list for a desert island! I have the A5 size and the mini and to be honest I use the mini the most. Have a good weekend - water wings down here in Hampshire!

This is an incredible card, Faith, and it's hard to believe that your mojo went on vacation! :-D So simple and striking. I adore the bird die cuts and would love to know where to get those over here in the US. The postage from UK to my side of the North American continent would be more than the die set. lol
ReplyDeleteThose little birdies perched on the wires look so cute with the sentiment placed between them! Love that beautiful medallion die-cut too - just a very pretty black & white card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birthday card and love those little birdies!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful CAS card.
