Water/Beach TMR

Hi Everyone, my card today is for

The Male Room Challenge

I really didn't know what to do, so I looked through my stamps and my cut files and decided to put the ones I found together, so my take on the challenge today is Water!

I cut the background out on the digital cutting machine and added DO's and DI's to the background, pulled out a stencil, that I seem to reaching for all the time, and stenciled the sea and clouds. Stamped the birds and boat, coloured them with DI's added white pen to the waves, then 3d'd the sentiment. Off to find some card to add to the background and found a dark navy that I liked, voila all done! btw, the light blue surround is from my lightbox background.

cut file - Lizzie Mayne Silhouette Design Store
stencil - Funky fossil
stamps - Nautical by Sara Davies Magazine freebies
sentiment stamp and die - Julie Hickey
inks - Distress Inks & Oxide

I hope everyone in the UK were OK, and no harm to life or property, was had on Monday with the awful wind and rain. Let's hope the cold and frost has finished now too, I think we've had enough of Winter.

Keep safe and well Everyone.

I hope to see you in the Challenge at TMR, if you have trouble with masculine cards, you'll find lots of inspiration from the Fabulous Team.

  2. Hi Faith, well this is just gorgeous, I love it its so creative.
We have survived the storms here in the NW England but my garden has a few issues, sadly I have three very old hydranga bushes that look very poorly and I lost a forsythia, everything else is battered to the ground but at least the house is still standing, it was the hail storm that finished it all off but we are here thankfully. I hope all is well for you and yours.xx

  23. This is wonderful Faith and I recognise the stencil which is one that is constantly out on my desk too. The nautical stamps are brilliant and you've made such a great scene with that ship in full sail and I can almost hear the gulls crying.

Thank you for your comment about your walks with your Grampa in the bluebells. You have a great connection with nature I know. Vicky x

  25. I love your tall ship and the cut file frame around it Faith and the wavy stencilled sea and added seagulls look great too, and the navy background really makes the cut file shape stand out. I almost said snap when I saw your ship but realised that mine is a different freeebie, this one was from Creative Stamping. x
