Foxy

Hello Everyone, I'm in a lack of mojo state -again! so I decided to go into my stamp "stash" and choose a stamp that I haven't used, like one of most of them hahaha.

Anyhow, I chose this pretty fox, coloured it in DI's then was stumped! I decided to go into my odds and ends box, something I don't normally do and found a piece of vellum, which strangely had the shape on it that fitted around the fox if I placed it right. I found a sentiment that fitted onto the space, heat embossed and corner done.

Then a piece of white card I put the vellum around, onto which I decided to add a little stencil colouring, with inspiration as used here.  After cutting out with a die I added dimensionals to the fox layer and 3D'd it onto another find, a piece of embossed card, that I had done goodness knows when.

I painted the same colour as the fox on a piece of card I had used part of the day before. It was layered and the card was done finished with a few sequins. Although it was made mostly from already used pieces, it turned out not too bad I think. AND, it kept me busy this dismal cold day.

colours - Distress Inks
embossing folder - Embossilicious Chantilly Corner
both stamps = Magazine freebies
stencil - Funky Fossil
sequins - stash

the pieces of stash used,
I had already stuck the embossed piece onto the card!

  2. I think it's a fantastic make, Faith, and I love that you scoured the odds and ends box to get it made! That's my kind of crafting when my mojo goes hiding. :-D Darling little fox. I can't believe that you've had him and not used him before this. We're a bit gloomy here today so I'm off to the craft room to see what might lift my spirits.

  14. Faith this is a fantastic card! I love that I inspired you with the stencilling (although yours is much prettier and much more subtle than mine!) Isn't it amazing what you can find in the snippets box? I find it's a great way to try and kickstart the old mojo. Hope you have a brighter day tomorrow - we could all do with a little sunshine and blue sky I think. Vicky x

  16. Your card is absolutely darling, Faith, and no one would ever know it was made from bits and bobs! As I'm reading, I'm thinking, "She has to play this over at Pixie's," and I'm so glad to see you did! The way you put everything together is worthy of a showcase! Also, I'd love to have you share with everyone at the NBUS challenge. (mynbus.blogspot.com) And thank you so much for your good wishes regarding my back break. Thank goodness for this wonderful hobby and bloggie friends to help us through illness and dismal days!) Hugs, Darnell

  20. Looks to me that your mojo is just fine Faith! I am so loving this cute fox card! That fox is just the cutest and looks fabulous sitting on the vellum. I love the sentiment in the corner like that. The embossing just gives that "something something" and I love it. Love the swirls of it. The sequins if the finishing touch. Yep, your mojo look pretty darn good to me!! Hugs, Brenda
