Bloom

Hi Everyone, a very quick post today, I did this card in double quick time too.

A quick post as I have a few things I'd like to do, February and March are filled with birthdays for me. Anyhow, I hope you're all well and keeping safe, it seems a lot of the country is getting snow we have brilliant blue skies with hardly a breeze, but temperatures are just 2C this afternoon. So keep safe and no slipping on ice.

I got out a stencil I cut with the Cameo, coloured and lifted it and placed it down at different angles, in different places on my card with DO's, I then stamped 3 stamps and added Pixie Powder to the flowers and dragonfly by adding water to the powder on my glass mat and painting it on, it adds a lovely shimmer. I love this stencil effect for quick cards.

stencil design - Jamie Koay at Silhouette Design Store
inks - Distress Oxide, Stazon
shimmer powders - Pixie Powders Cosmic Shimmer
stamps - Diary of a Country Woman (magazine freebies)

you can see part of the shine here, it's also has a great shine on the dragonfly too.

I never enter a challenge twice, but these are never before used stamps so -

Stay well. Vaccine roll-out is going slowly here in NY as well. I have an appointment on April 6 . . . hopefully it doesn't get cancelled.

  7. Wow, loving this card Faith! I have been wanting to make some stencils myself, but need to get some plastic to use. Your stencil is so cool looking with the way you did it. I love how you stamped the images over it. So pretty and so well done! I think I need to get my stencils out and have a play myself. lol Hugs, Brenda

  14. Oh that shine is so pretty and I never think to stamp on top of a stencil without coloring it, but it's a nice look! I convert celcius to farenheit and that's chilly! We just got through with some nights like that. Now we have had 3 days of rain, ugh. xoxo

We're a little bit chilly here this morning. Right now it's -36, and with the windchill it feels like -49 degrees! Brrr!!! That's cold...even for me! :o)

  18. Okay, this is my new favourite of your cards Faith! I love the stencilling, the colours, the touches of gold... bravo!!
Our snow was beautiful for two days, started thawing and then froze into lethal ice and I do not want to fall! Poor Eva is having to go down our hill wearing a head collar so she doesn't accidentally pull me over, but it comes off as soon as we get to the fields :) Vicky x
