My card today uses the poppies image and I printed it out and then water coloured it, something I've not been successful in before. I've been watching some tutorials and they say to dry the print before using the water colours, so heat gun out and it worked! LOL. I also used blue for an outline background, I wasn't sure about the colour, but I think it's OK. I'm quite pleased with the overall result and feel more confident to do it all again.
I cut out the oval frame and a leaf of the stamp to overlap it, to add a little interest. I thought the sentiment could be used for lots of purposes.

ReplyDeleteFantastic water coloring, Faith! I like that you chose blue for the outline. FYI, purple also works; just a little something I learned back in my days of rubber stamping everything. :-D I really love the oval shape of the image and that bow pulls the color from the poppies and makes them, well, pop. :-D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poppies and great watercolouring my pencil colouring looks like a child did it-actually that's a little unfair as a child would probably do better lol-love the little leaf over the edge and great font
