I felt that I had spoken out of turn one day this week to my lovely SIL, and decided to apologise with a card for her and chose this fabby image by Eastwind. The sentiment is my own. I thought it conveyed that I should have stopped to think before saying anything.
I coloured the pig in PS, however it was VERY pale after printing, so I went over it with my Spectrum Noir markers. I gave the frames around the papers a "stroke" in PS and then saved it all to print and cut with my Cameo.
It seems that she didn't think I had spoken out of turn, told you she was lovely.

This is so cute! ... and now you feel so much better too! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBriliant Faith and I love the sentiment xx
ReplyDeleteCute papers! Also like how you used the saying for this type of "sorry" card. If you had a verse inside to finish the outside sentiment can you email me it. I might have to "borrow" it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! and I love that image. Thanks for joining us this week at just Add Ink :)
ReplyDeleteA super card Faith, such a fun image and great sentiment - perfect for an apology, even if it wasn't deemed necessary.

ReplyDeleteOH my gosh Faith, if I made a card every time I spoke out of turn, I wouldn't have time to eat or sleep! Bwahaha!! (just kidding) It's a beautiful card and such a lovely way to say 'I'm sorry'. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI love this Faith.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think the idea of layering your papers before printing is awesome.. I will have to try it for sure! I go to make my card up so many times and find I don't have just the right shade of card!
Big hugs.

Thank you for taking the time to pop to my blog and leave a comment, it feels slightly surreal to be blogging again but I thought it might make me concentrate a bit more on making sure I had some "me" time if I restarted the blog.....And it was treat to have you pop by as it led me back to your blog and you fabulous "pig apology" card made me smile....this is why it's so great to handmake cards. It was a great idea....glad it was well received. X
ReplyDeleteThis is a beaut! Gorgeous piggy and the papers look so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that you have been feeling down in the dumps.
Oh this is just darling. It's a sweet Piggie, and the design papers around this cutie really set him off so nicely. I doubt you really spoke out of turn, but it was so kind of you to apologize with such a pretty card. Sometimes we just need to say what we think, be honest, and if the person really understands us, they accept this as proof that we care enough to be honest. Not always the case in the P.Correct world today. Well done. TFS &Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable way to express regrets for something said! I love the whole idea of making a card for it, and this one works perfectly with that cute piggy!!

ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling less 'down in the dumps' now: I find this time of year rather dreary and depressing, but soon the sun will be shining and the daffodils will be blooming!
