Son's birthday card

Hi Everyone, hope you are all OK. this Sunday morning.

Today's card is for my son, who will be 38 tomorrow, although to mention age is an anathema to him, so what do I do - of course - mention his age - frequently! I'm a bad Mum. LOL.

I was wondering what to do for him this year, when I had a follower new stamps email and what was it? but "Video Game Guy" just perfect for a chap who spends most of his time on the computer, whether gaming - more than a lot! watching catch up television, researching, reading etc etc. (He has agoraphobia with a few other problems,) As he tells me his computer is his window to the world.

I paper pieced the chair and the guy's top with the DP's and coloured the image in PS, added a texture DP to the floor area and coloured the "wall" area to match the DP's.  Printed it all out and layered the DP's and 3D'd the Guy and the television/monitor.  Added buttons, which now look black instead of the dark blue I thought they were, blast it!  That'll teach me to make something late in the evening, with just a small light on.  I don't think he would notice. Although he does make comments on cards I make, 99% are very positive I'm glad to say.

The image is Bugaboo
The DP's are by Memory Clips from a digi kit Old Sport.
Sentiment is from Create with TLC.

  5. This is a super card, and what patience to do all that fiddly paper piecing on the tiny spaces. Your flooring dp was so very perfect for the carpet effect too. Liked the layout arrangement with the shapes in the different patterns, then you added stitching into the mix. Your son will love this card I'm sure. Again, what a wonderful choice of image for your son's loves, and isn't it marvelous that someone who's homebound can explore the world via a computer. What a blessing. Your buttons were pretty with the image & patterns, no matter what color. Happy Birthday to your son, tell him 38 is a great age! Ya'll enjoy the day. Hope you'll like Outlander! Let me know what you think if you do read it (which if you like history with a good love story, good writing, I think you'll be looking for all the other books too!) TFS & Hugs. Happy Sunday.
