It's time for a new challenge at
Digitally Sweet Challenges
the Theme is
1 image, 2 papers (digi or real),
3 different embellishments (digi or real)
I used the beautiful "Winter Stream" image and sentiments by Rosiland Solomon at Exclusive Sparkle and Sprinkle. I wanted to do something different, not too different though - you know me LOL. So I decided to do a pink/lavender Winter scene. My influence for the colours are due to the photos of the sky the other night.
I copied the digi image and altered it to place on the tag, I coloured or slightly changed the colour of items in PS. I also added a muted sun over the mountains. The layout is my own design, hope I've done that OK, I'm not much good at that.
1 image is the Winter Stream digi
2 papers are Winterwonderland kit at Pixel Scrapper and
pink and white dots from Pixelberrypie
3 embellishments
pink gems swirl by Dawn by Designs
pink tag by Gina Jane
pink knotted ribbon by Shelle Primavera
Just want to show you one of my previous attempts of this image, not something I usually do, but I liked this too, hope you do.
This is the printed card, shame you can't see the glittery sparkle it is lovely, although you may just see the icicles or the stream marks of the glitter. It is also on the tag. No sun here today - no sparkle :(
The colours printed are more lavendery and not as bright as on my computer screen, but I am still pleased with it. Love the image.
Here are the photos that influenced me although a bit brighter, a gorgeous sky.
Non traditional Christmas colours

Love this Faith! The pink colours make it so pretty. The sky photos are gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so pretty and delicate Faith, I really love the colours. Both the designs look gorgeous and it's a beautiful image.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card with non traditional colours Faith. I am so impressed with your PS manipulation of the Digi image - I need to give that a try sometime. Love your sky photos and how you took that inspiration to your card. Thanks for joining us at Holly Jolly Christmas.

This is gorgeous! Love that you used the image twice, but with different sizes - very clever. Your colors are beautiful, love the inspiration. Thanks for joining us over at the Creative Challenge of Sparkle N Sprinkle.
ReplyDeleteHi Faith, Well I love these you made some brilliant cards! Your designs are really good, with very pretty colours! The photographs of the sky are amazing too, shame that you had no sun today, here's hoping it shines for you tomorrow :D xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful layout and design, Faith! Love the scene and the colors are wonderful as are your photos!
ReplyDeleteI am so awed by your PS expertise. This is already a pretty digi, but what you did really charged it into overdrive. Loved #1 and your layout is just fantastic. I thought you did a great job with the layouts on both the cards, BTW. I enjoyed your beautiful sunset photos too. We have sunsets like that here in S.Carolina, but I can never capture them so well with the camera as you've done here. It was a spectacular view, so TFS it with us, as well as your beautiful cards. That is a particularly pretty scene too. I like SnS stamps, but have not bought any digis there yet. They have a nice monthly technique kit which I get..Probably cost prohibitive to ship internationally though. TFS & Hugs. Bet you'll be reading, instead of making cards for the next few days! LOL
ReplyDeleteWow, these are absolutely stunning! Love your color choices! So glad you shared them with us for the Sparkle N Sprinkle Creative Challenge and congrats on being a SNS Featured Artist.
ReplyDeleteWOW - lovely skies to inkspire you! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images and super cards. Really love these Faith.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Love that pink!
ReplyDeletewow, wow, wow! These are absolutely stunning, Faith! Such a gorgeous image and I love the colours you used. Booth designs are gorgeous! What great sunset photos too - you captured the colours perfectly! Sorry it has taken me a while to get here. Prep for school is a bit more time consuming this year as the government has introduced the new curriculum.
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful .
