Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping. This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme from Me, Myself, and I, Yours Truly! -
We were asked to write a little about ourselves and our crafting, see my post on the 7th, to read it if you're interested?
Anyhow, my masculine cards today came about by a website, showing me images of products I may be interested in, I certainly was, and they were on offer, so bought them. I had Pirates in mind, I really don't know why, except they ruled the waves at one time.
I searched for a map in my files, and came across this coloured, but blank cut edge map. It's a Photoshop free download. I sent it into my Silhouette program and cut it out, Yep! I hate fussy cutting that much. These are the cards, with description above each card below.
I stamped the ship and other nautical stamps onto the "map" after I had ink blended the edge of it, then coloured them with DI's and a white gel pen. I die cut the anchor and tied a naval knot with jute cord. Stamped and die cut a sentiment, and it was done.
My second card, used the same set of stamps, the seahorse die is also in the Magazine freebie, Sara Davies Nautical set
I
enjoyed it so much, I decided to do another with one of the other
stamps. They were both done with the same map. Then I added different
stamps and a seahorse die, cut out of white card and blended to match. I looked up the colour of the seahorse, and if they
live at the bottom of the sea amongst the sand, they are the same colour as the sand, very handy for my card. I
added gems to the treasure chest, and a different naval knot, in red, to
match the jewels. Sorry I have forgotten, what the knots are.
Don't forget, we now require At least one stamped element on entries. Those of you like us, who love to stamp, we would still love you to enter your fully stamped entry.
Real thinking outside the box to create the beautiful vintage feel Faith, perfect inspiration for your theme.

Gorgeous cards Faith, I love the nautical theme, those stamps are fabulous as are your treasure maps, I can't help with the name of the knot, I did know them all at one time, dad was all Navy so the knots varied in life, haha. xx
