Hi Everyone, my card today was to pick some snippets, and make a Christmas card for The Playground. I got the snippets, used an embossing folder, used some bakers twine, which was far too stiff, stamped the sentiment in gold, to match the gold edge snippet. I added a die cut poinsettia, left over from last year, from my bits box. But do I have a half decent card? Mmm. You will have to judge that. I got it done in double quick time, maybe it looks it.
Never mind, it's going into the Playground and I know with all the mud around, and with the rain we have been having, it may be blurred out, if most of them there have glasses. OH! They will, there's eggnog, that's OK then, they'll be drunk. Ah! That puts my mind at rest.

I nearly forgot, here are the snippets used.
Super snippets Christmas card, Faith. It certainly doesn’t look like a card made in double quick time. xx
ReplyDeleteI think its more than 'ok' Faith. Its a lovely card and I really hope it doesn't get too muddy in the playground :)). xxx
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely texture and dimension on this one Faith and that oldie with James Stewart comes to mind.

Well I had to know what an Mmm card was and I have to disagree! Looks wonderful to me, a great design and use of snippets.
ReplyDeleteThis has all the elements of a wonderful Christmas greeting with memories of an old song that everyone's familiar with! Love this fun design!
ReplyDeleteIt's a lot more than half decent - it's great! Love the embossing on here. I know exactly what you mean about the stiff bakers twine as I have some of it too. I love your card Faith.

ReplyDeleteFabulous snippets card Faith it's really lovely hugs x
ReplyDeleteThink you're being too harsh on yourself there Faith. I love the composition of all the elements in the traditional colours . . . and I'm not even drunk yet! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground and for sharing a photo of your snippets too! See you up in the Treehouse for cocktails later! xxx
Oh Faith - that really made me giggle! Self-deprecating in the extreme Faith as your card is lovely. I love the Christmas primary colours with white and gold - can't beat those. Nice embossing too - heat and dry. Love it! Dudley just licked the screen in appreciation! He licked the phone earlier today when Sarn and I were talking! Wet wipes to the rescue here and tissues for Sarn at the other end of the line, snort! The little busybody needs to be in on everything!
