Garden WLSC

Hi Everyone, my second DT card today is for We Love Stamping
the theme this month being "Anything stamped/option Stamped, In the Garden "

My card today is, for me, definitely "In The Garden". Because I have no greater joy than seeing the washing on the line, in the garden. When my son was a baby, I loved the nappies, (diapers) blowing in the wind, on the line, and I took photos of them. Where the photos are now, goodness knows, but they are still flying in the wind, in my memory. Sad, aren't I? As for the sentiment, you want sunshine on a washing day, don't you?

image - Stampendous, Laundry Line, House Mouse
inks - Distress Inks - lots
sunshine die & sentiment stamp - Crafters Companion Sunshine collection
rectangle die - Tonic
yellow card - Lidl
cloud stencil - Funky Fossil

There are beautiful prizes to be had for the Winner.

  1. That's an adorable image and coloured beautifully Faith, the whole image has come to life.

Funnily enough we were discussing nappies (as you do) the other day and the vast difference for modern day Mothers like Anysia. Disposables were about when Alex came along ten years after the others, but for them it was the old fashioned way and what a nightmare it was in Winter!

  2. The washing on the line gives always a sense of here&now, and peace. I think that all the memories in our "eyes-mind photos and movies" are a big treasure. Such beautiful image you have in your own! Love so much this card, very sweet, cute and colourful.
We used the same similar sentiments :)
    Happy Sunday!

  8. Another brilliant image and brilliant colouring. Although I can understand how nappies blowing on the line are a pleasure to see, I don't think I would think to take photos of them especially in days gone by when cameras had film that had to be sent away for processing and when it cam back all the photos were rubbish! xx

  9. What an adorable card Faith, I love the image and your design. I know what you mean about the line full of nappies, you never see that now as it's all disposable nappies, times change Kate x

  15. Your card is lovely, delightful stamp and beautiful colouring, the bright yellow for the sentiment and border adds a touch of sunshine, This card touched a chord with me and made me smile! I'm just back from holiday- with suitcases full of clothes to be washed- how happy I was when it was dry and sunny and everything could go out on the line! My dog was delighted too- he loves to 'help' with the laundry and always comes to tell me when the washing machine cycle has ended and there's more to peg out!
I'm delighted to be a GD for this month, thanks for the comment and the welcome.

  18. Your cards are always SO lovely, Faith. Great job and please know that I would totally play along there, but I think they prefer to have UK participants/winners to keep things a bit simpler. I do enjoy your art, my friend. And THANK YOU for your sweet and encouraging comments on my blog. I am so incredibly grateful for you, Faith.

  19. You're definitely not sad, Faith, you are fabulously nostalgic! I, too, remember washing on the line and that smell! They try to mimic it in sprays, but they never quite get it the same, do they? Your fun card brings me back in time and you've got me grinning! Hugs, Darnell

  22. Faithie, this is such an adorable card and I love your memories! Love the feel of cloth diapers too. Growing up, every new home had steel poles cemented into the backyard ground with clotheslines strung pole to pole. I saw a lot of sheets and blankets blowing, but by then the smaller stuff got put in the dryer. I still keep wooden some clothespins handy as they come in handy, right now to close our bag of chips, lol. XOX
