Vintage, Guest spot

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the GDT at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. I was invited after entering this card.

The theme is Vintage, something I have not done in a long time. I had to go through my files and think, and in the end found the image, and a sentiment that I thought was suitably Snarky!

I cut and print the image and the sentiment 3 times from Silhouette. Then shaded and coloured the image, sentiment and doily with DI's. The Kraft card base was stencilled with DI, the doily added and the layered image and sentiment. I didn't think it was finished, so die cut some small flowers and leaves from pink card, and distressed them with DI too. Her eyes didn't stand out, I felt, so added a spot watercolour pencil to enhance them. The black had been dulled with the DI's so, I went over a few parts with a fine black pen.

I'm afraid the photo isn't as clear as I wanted, I took a few photos and this was the best, I hope my camera isn't giving up the ghost!

image and sentiment - Create with TLC
Kraft card - stash
stencil - Get Silvered
ink - Distress Ink, vintage photo, old paper, antique linen, victorian velvet.
dies - Tattered Lace
doily - kitchen stash

  24. Congrats on the GDT spot Faith! I get a kick out of snarky cards, and you definitely got the snark on this one as well as the vintage part down! I love this image, you colored her perfectly for that vintage look. The doily, the stenciled background....all looks amazing. It's the sentiment that I am really loving though. It goes perfectly with your image. LOL Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda
