Hi Everyone, my mid month DT card today is for We Love Stamping the theme being "Favourite Colours".
My favourite colours are - anything, but I prefer bright! Love gold too, so here is a mixture of colour and gold glitter.
Something so different for me, I stamped the different snowflakes in different DI colours, I needed to fill a few spaces, so I looked through my stamps and found a generic stamp to fill them. It was then stamped in different colours also. Taking the outer die of the snowflake in the kit, I stamped inside it and added gold glitter pen to the outside of the die cut. It was 3D'd in the middle circle of one of the large snowflakes. The layer was then attached to gold glitter paper.
There are always fabulous prizes, why don't you join us at the My Favourite Colours Challenge? It lasts all January, the only criteria is, that stamping must be to the fore. Simple isn't it.
Can we please draw your attention to a change with regard to entries using Instagram. As this format does not offer the option to add a working link back to our challenge, in future they will not be eligible and deleted. We are doing this to be fair to the majority of entrants who do comply with this requirement.
My son was quite unwell last Saturday and after a couple of calls to 111, talking to a Paramedic, we were advised to take him to A&E. We got there at 5.45pm and after a lot of sitting, a heart trace, blood samples and X-Ray, with good news at the end of it, we got home Sunday morning at 6.45am, talk about being shattered doing nuffin! But try to put my son's mind to rest, it was exhausting. Only twelve and three-quarter hours. There were no ambulances outside, just 20 people with carers to add to the number. We all left about the same time, although a few people gave up the wait. I hope I don't have to go through that again in a hurry.
A joke with Alexa this week, I just had to add.
Question - What is the opposite of ironing?
Answer -Wrinkling!
Have fun and enjoy the weekend
Sorry for your experience, it seems that it's no longer possible to have an efficient public emergency service around the world, everywhere there are the same problems, even in Italy. Too many continuous cuts in health care, despite the taxes we pay.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, great way to use small stamps! Love the colours too.
Very pretty snowflake card Faith … love the multicolour effect
ReplyDeletePauline xx
Love your colourful snowflakes Faith but Bloggers really on one today, this one's not showing on my reading list, my own is but can't get to the post, will have to sort later as off to the Vet to have Daisy's stitches removed.
ReplyDeleteAs for A&E, been there right through to the tee shirt. And it's not getting any better from what I read.

Fabulous colours, beautiful card;-))m
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful and colourful snowflake card. Love all the little details. sorry to hear about your trip to A&E, but at least he got checked out and it ended with good news xx
ReplyDeleteGlad your son was okay. I hate waiting for care, especially when it's one of my own kids. I love ALL the colors on your card. It's a rainbow of snowflakes! And the answer to the use of the "a" or "an" question is...when the U is long, it sounds like it starts with the letter "Y", the article "a" can be used. If it's a soft "u" sound, the article needs to have the consonant sound to break up the two vowel sounds.
ReplyDeleteDoes that make sense? I mean, I know some people will say "an unique experience..." but the majority use the rule above.
p.s. (thankyou for commenting on my blog).
What a nightmare at A&E - so sorry you all had to go through that. Hope your son is okay.
ReplyDeleteI love your card - a riot of colour! I have just made a snowflake card in muted blues and now I want to re-do it in your gorgeous colours!
Love the opposite of ironing being wrinkling! There's definitely more of that than there is of ironing in our house!! Vicky x
Oh wow Faith, this is a fun, colorful and happy card! I love all the beautiful colors and those snowflakes are so pretty in all the shapes and sizes. The little bubbles are so cool looking mixed in among the snowflakes. Love this card! Oh my goodness, I know that had to be a long weekend for you all. Just the waiting and not knowing part is exhausting. Must less trying to keep your son's mind at rest. I sure hope you don't have to go through that again! The joke with Alexa was to funny. LOL Hugs sweet lady, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLots of bright colour on this wonderful snowflake card Faith, and the gold glitter paper shows it all off beautifully. Sorry to hear your son had to go to hospital but good to hear that all is well, but very tiring for him and you too. Hubby had a sudden unexpected hernia problem back in late October, and after ringing 999 we were advised to bring him to the hospital by car, not the best as he could hardly move for the pain, but at least he had an operation the same evening and he is more or less back to normal now, but it is something I don't want to experience again in a hurry. I laughed at Alexa with the opposite of ironing being wrinkling..I suppose that is a logical reply...lol. x
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you had such a long wait at A & E with your son, although you must have been relieved that everything is okay. Your card is beautiful, so much detail in all the stamped images. xx
ReplyDeleteOh Faith, what a long wait... 5.5 hours has been my longest wait in ED! i can understand you feeling exhausted!
ReplyDeleteLove your vibrant colour on this gorgeous card
Blessings
Maxine
Hi Faith, a very colorful and festive card, stamping to the fore for sure! Love all the differently colored snowflakes and the glitter frame. My heart goes out to you. I worry about my friends in the UK and Canada. I have been reading about the shortages, strikes, wait times. We have one big hospital in my small city and emergency room wait times were 9-12 hours, then little emergency room clinics began popping up with much better care and are thriving. The hospital expanded facilities and is now like, where is everyone? Not at your place if I can avoid it, I will reward the competition. Hopefully some solution can help y'all. XOX
ReplyDeleteA really pretty card Faith, I like anything colourful. What a nightmare at the hospital but pleased all was well in the end xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card - So sorry to hear about your son.
ReplyDeleteFaith, it makes me happy just seeing your colorful card. I DID used to have favorite colors and combinations, and often use my "go to combos" because they are pretty, but the past few years, when someone asks my favorite color, I don't know what to say! I love them all! Perhaps not equally, but sometimes colors I don't even care for grab my attention when paired with a special image or other color, and it becomes a new favorite! These snowflakes in your card are definitely enjoying a party and are dancing their colorful hearts out!

ReplyDeleteWonderful card!
Oh your card is absolutely stunning Faith. Those colours are so so pretty together. Goodness that was a scary, tiresome night for sure. I dread needing them in an emergency situation. I feel like we are all just going to die at home!! Alexa cracks me up. I love her jokes and info in the morning.
ReplyDeleteReally fun and very colorful card, Faith! So sorry to hear you had to spend all that time at the hosiptal, but glad that your son is okay.
