Bauble

Hi Everyone, I was reminded I haven't added anything to my blog! Therefore, this is one of the many cards I have done recently, I certainly have been busy, with Christmas and birthdays. Also making little gesture presents.

Anyhow, my card today is for family abroad, trying to cut down on postage I stamped and embossed this card, a one layer, apart from the added bow! I have had this bauble for a couple of years at least and not used it before, the bow and twine stamps I had to have a few months ago and have used lots of it, especially on envelopes. The bauble and twine were stamped in red, and then I embossed the bow, twine, and sentiment in silver. I like the fact some red is showing through the silver on the twine.

bauble - Phil Martin Sentimentally Yours, magazine freebie
bauble ink - a very old Whispers
twine stamp - Altenew
embossing powder - Altenew

As I write it is lashing with rain, high winds dark and miserable here, at least it's not too cold at 9C. I hope you all keep dry and warm this week.

I'm entering into a new challenge for me, as CAS is not a natural thing for me to do, but hey!

  3. Oh but you have Faith, I've seen it all! This is another really lovely CAS creation and know exactly where you are coming from with overseas postage, sent one to Kenya last month, kept it flat and still needed a mortgage for the stamps.

  5. Your bauble is gorgeous, thanks for sharing it. It is wet and windy here too and it is cold in my craft room because the wind seems to blow right through the window, don't know how that happens! xx

  16. Faithie, you are becoming a CAS Queen, another good one! That's a cool twine and bow stamp and I like the red showing through the silver embossing! The other day I used a very old red stamp pad on a sentiment and it gave me too light an impression so I stamped over it with a fresher black pad. Long story short, I loved the effect, so am saving the old red pad, lol. I'm too frugal for my own good can we say HOARDER? Heeheehee Eat something good on Thursday so you can be too full and have indigestion just like us Americans, HAHAHA. 9C is really cold for me, every night this week has been 48F or colder here. We will warm up just a tad to day time high of 70F for Thanksgiving and more rain, then back down to that colder weather and maybe sun. I do feel almost ashamed to complain about it with my fellow Americans up north under 8 feet of snow. XOX

  23. I love that gorgeous ornament with the little touches of silver. I'm with you on flat cards. I love the look of multiple layers and lots of embellishments, but your card is the perfect showcase of how impactful CAS can be. So glad you shared it with us at The Paper Players this week

  27. What a beautiful CAS card Faith! I am loving that bauble, but it is that twine bow that I am really loving! Yes, it is a busy time of year with lots going on for sure. We had rain all day and evening yesterday with high winds, rain is done...I think, just cloudy...but the rain comes back on Wednesday. I will take the rain over the snow/ice though! lol Our temps are on the warmer side as well. The wind...that I could do without! Hugs, Brenda
