Scrapbook page

Hi Everyone, I found this photo of my youngest brother at 16, (he's 73 now) and decided to make a scrapbook page for him. It certainly brought back memories for me, I hope it will for him too. I used quite a few digital designers items, so I won't add them all, just where they can be found, most of the elements and papers are years old and in my files. I enjoyed putting this together, finding I have so many items linked to photography was great, especially for this.

Digital is my preferred way to scrapbook, it's great changing details or deleting and using different to what I started with. I have to admit, it probably took me far too many more hours, than if I did it with paper and dies etc. hahaha I enjoyed it that's all that matters isn't it? He can print it out or keep it digital and I'm pleased to say he was pleased with it.

  1. I was drawn to this heading in my reading list as I am doing something similar right now. I also prefer digital scrapbooking these days, but I am mixing the two styles to make an A5 memory book for my son's 50th birthday in June. He doesn't know about it but he isn't likely to see this. All the childhood memories I have of him are old photos, before the days of digital cameras so they had to all be scanned into my computer and edited to repair some of the age damage. But it is fun and I am enjoying doing it. I think you found a great set of accessories for your page, and once you get started, I do find the digital method is much faster and less wasteful. Do you use Photoshop or Craft Artist, or something different? I am sure it was a lovely surprise for him. Kate x

  13. This is such a treasure made for your brother and I'm sure he loves it and will for years to come! Great design, especially that little roll of film which is seldom seen anymore. It broke my heart to sell my 35mm camera when film no longer became available :(

  14. Wow Faith, this layout is amazing!!! You are so good with digital layouts, I'd probably make a mess out of them, but not you! I love all the digital elements on this layout, so great with the photo. Your brother is so cute and love that whomever captured this photo also captured his reflection in the mirror. How fun that your brother went on to be a photographer, I'm sure this gift was a very special one and I know this layout will be a very special one to him. I can imagine all the memories that this evoked! Well done my sweet friend!!! Hugs, Brenda
