New Home

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a little sunshine today and were able to take advantage of it, even if it was only in the garden as I did!  My card today is for my Niece and hubby who have just moved into their new home after a "little" hassle with the process, they were supposed to move before Christmas. Never mind, now all is well and they are in this week, with dog and horse! well not the horse in the house of course. That's a little rhyme there methinks!

I embossed the dies into the card, I saw one recently  that did this and thought I would try it, I love the effect it has, (sorry, I thought I had taken a note of the address to link it,  but didn't). I then die cut the smaller die around the stamped house, which had been coloured. The keys and hearts were stamped onto the embossed card and coloured. All then layered onto black card. Quite a simple card for me, but I'm pleased with it and the result of the embossed dies, I must do this again.

  1. Oh that's a lovely new home card Faith. Wow - sounds like A LOT of hassle if they were meant to move before Christmas. Poor things. All's well that ends well though, eh?

Great embossing technique - very effective.

  17. Beautiful bright sunshine here Faith, but cold outside! So getting out in it for me. I'm staying in where it is warm. lol But loving the sun shinning on me through the window. I love this CAS card Faith! Yes, embossing with dies is so in right now and I need to do it too. I'm always late to jump on the band wagon. Your embossed die circles look amazing! I love how your scene is inside the circle with the keys and hearts on the outside. Beautiful card for sure. Glad your Niece and her husband finally was able to get into their new home, sounds like it was a process! But hopefully they are settled and happy in their new place! Hugs, Brenda

  18. I love how elegant the embossing with dies technique is Faith - and I'd do it all the time except I've lost the little rubber pad that I used to use for it! So pleased your niece and her hubby have finally got into their new home and hope it hasn't been too stressful for them. Vicky x
