Hi Everyone, been quite a few days since I posted anything, it's not that I haven't been busy, I have. I've been doing a few DT cards, so can't show them yet. Also a few birthday cards for family. I don't know where my time has gone each day. I have had a lot of phone calls this week, which has been lovely. OH! yes my biggest job? I cleaned the oven! not something I do very often I'm ashamed to say, and it showed, I took over 3 hours to get it sparkly clean, yuck! I'm not leaving it that long next time! (I hope). I always say that.
Anyhow on to my card, it was for my eldest SiL, who isn't too well. I had made these cards for her friends and she was pleased with them, so I decided to carry on the theme for her card. I love this digital kit, the papers and elements are just so beautiful. The gilding flakes were added (safely in a box this time, not as the other cards) by adding glue pen to parts of the flowers and leaves.
What a beautiful card Faith. The papers are so pretty and how delicate are those gold flakes....so pretty x. Sorry to hear your Sil is not feeling well but I am sure this will cheer her up x. Well done you on tackling the cooker....x.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and p.paper love the verses.I have a pretty decent oven cleaner -name of John lol

Absolutely beautiful! Love the florals! And I'm with you... I HATE cleaning the oven but I typically don't let it go too long or it's a bear to clean!
ReplyDeleteI loved the other cards you made for your SIL's friends and I am so loving her card too. It is just stunning! Yes, the digital collection is just gorgeous with what you have showed us. I love again, that you used the gilding flakes, it really takes the paper/images up a notch and makes the card even more elegant if that is possible! I really need to save up and get me some gilding flakes. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside too. I hope I didn't take up to much of your time this week since you were very busy. I hate cleaning the oven too, and haven't for years!! That sounds bad doesn't it?! I have a self cleaning oven, thus why I haven't cleaned it in years. lol I think that is a chore non of us like doing, but it is far easier now with a self cleaning oven. Hope next week isn't as busy for you! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Faith its so pretty. As for the oven cleaner I use a wonderful one you just put on, leave and wipe off, but after who wants to dirty it up, it just seems wrong somehow.. Haha. Xxx
ReplyDeleteThe sentiment inside this card is just beautiful! What a lovely card for your SIL and I hope she's well soon. Now that you've finished cleaning your oven, feel free to come on over and do mine next! Hah! J/K. I'd rather clean ten toilets than do that icky job! LOL
ReplyDeleteA very pretty card with gorgeous flowers!! And, so beautiful with the gilding flakes!! Sorry to hear that you’re SIL is not feeling well. She will certainly appreciate your stunning card!! I’m with you about cleaning the oven for it is not a fun job! In fact, any cleaning for that matter, lol!
ReplyDeleteThis really is a beautiful card Faith, the colours are gorgeous and I love the addition of the gilding flakes. Such a lovely verse too. You are not alone re cleaning the oven, mine doesn’t get done all that often either xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card - love the choice of paper and beautiful flower!!!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Faith, beautiful papers and lovely sentiment - the inside looks pretty as well.

This is so feminine, Faith! A breath of Spring too! Beautiful inside and out!
ReplyDeleteHi Faith! Hope this finds you well. Wowzers, this card is heavenly! Love all the gilding you did, it makes it super special. She'll love it. Sorry to hear she is ailing. I'm glad I don't have the oven problem. We use ours so seldom, it stays clean enough! lol What we do use into the ground is a toaster oven and it's pretty easy to keep clean enough. Honey just will not use the big wall oven unless he's forced to. He's our cook, so I defer to him. Have a nice evening! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThis is bound to make your SiL feel truly special Faith! I love the double border, the gorgeous flowers, the touches of gold and that wonderful insert. Just because we're at home doesn't mean we're twiddling our thumbs does it - there's HEAPS to do at this time of year! Vicky x
ReplyDeletethe card is absolutely gorgeous, faith! the little touches of gold add so much. your sister will treasure this beauty!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteCleaning the oven is definitely a job. Kudos to you for cleaning it. Maybe it will motivate me. Maybe. [Bunny]
Faith this is gorgeous and your SIL will love it. It's funny the stars must have aligned because I had two co-workers that also cleaned their ovens last week so the "oven cleaning angel" must have been calling, lol. My co-workers were comparing Pinterest ideas on how they best cleaned it so I had to laugh how times have changed.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Faith. So beautifully done, even the sentiment is lovely. xx
ReplyDeleteFaith, this card is absolutely gorgeous! Each element is perfectly placed! I just love it!

ReplyDeleteI bought a new oven before Christmas and made sure it was a self-cleaning one. What a treat! I hope you weren't too sore the day after you cleaned yours.
This is so beautiful I'm sure you SIL will love it and cheer her up no end.
