Navy & White Christmas card plus

Hi Everyone, I hope you're all safe and well. I've got a picture heavy post for you today. I've done a few cards that I haven't blogged and thought it about time I did, so here are my first ones to show you. I saw the stamp and thought it so lovely I had to buy it. I pictured it on navy card in white and here is the same card I thought of. I coloured the roofs and windows with metallic pens, after stamping using a white ink. simple and quick. I like the effect, although I had to try it with a clear sparkle embossing too. I felt the star needed more emphasis so added a gold one over the stamped star!

stamp - Woodwear
ink - Brilliance moonlight white
embossing powder - WOW clear sparkle
star - die magazine freebie

Things are very strange in the garden, we are still picking runner beans another two and a half pounds this week, we have a lupin flowering and phlox flowering again and even the hebe decided to flower again. Never been known. However I really appreciate the fine weather and blue skies we have been having too. Here are piccies of the flowering plants. I didn't include the beans you've already seen some of those. LOL

the lupin

the phlox

the hebe

the following are in their Autumn colours,
although the hydrangea still has fresh blue blooms coming through

this hydrangea is just 2 years old

and one of my favourite Autumn flowers Nerine
EDIT - I've been corrected by Christine who is
of course correct these are SCHIZOSTYLIS or kaffir lilies. Thank you Christine.
Funny thing is I had the name correct here! Kaffir Lily
although the colour here is better LOL.

Yep, I'm in love! Wow, the garden is just looking stunning again! We too, have had some really nice weather, although no one's gardens are reblooming like yours nor are they picking green beans or runner beans here. lol We were in 77 today and supposed to be over 80 tomorrow. Just beautiful weather for sure. I love your hydrangea's, they are stunning looking....but then everything is stunning in your garden! Hugs, Brenda

  15. Love this card so much I have had to buy the stamp. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
I know these flowers as Kaffir Lilies. The ones I know as Nerines are like a big puffball of pink flowers . . . . just saying . . .

  17. Absolutely stunning card, Faith! I hope that one ends up in my mailbox for Christmas. Your garden is lovely and the photos are terrific. We've had no fall weather to speak of, having run in the high 90F a good share of September and October. Weather predictions are that by the end of this weekend, we're level off into the low 80s and even have a few days of high 70s. Still, we're 10+ degrees warmer than what would be a "normal" temperature for this time of year. I keep hoping for autumn to arrive before our late November Thanksgiving. :-D

  19. I've been tempted by this stamp - you've made lovely card with it.

Your hydrangea looks so lovely. Mine got overshadowed by a conifer from next door - finally got the overhanging parts cut down and it made an attempt but poor - hopefully next year it will be back.
