Hi Everyone our challenge today is to do with travel and as it hasn't been possible to do much of it this year for all the obvious reasons! I think a dream travel will do for me, so I'm off to somewhere that is green today!
I have had this image a long while and bought him when the designer was closing down. I love the "bumptious" image. With the theme as Travel, he had to be used. I used the embossing folder in my subscription magazine, for the background. I found the tent in my files, (he's off glamping), the suitcase I made in Silhouette, so simple, it took about 4 rectangles to make it. I found the fabulous sentiment online, it's a quote by W. C Fields.
I really wanted to try and brayer the EF, but I didn't have a brayer, so I asked hubby if he had one in his tools - Yep! a wallpaper roller, which we used to press the edges of wallpaper when hanging the pieces - so many years ago. It's only one and half inches, but cleaned up, it worked a treat, especially as my inks are only the one inch size. Hubby saved me a few pounds there!

Great card Faith and a wonderful sentiment. We should have gone on holiday on Sunday but it was cancelled and yesterday we heard our December one has been cancelled too but that’s life at the moment. I got a brayer recently, it’s quite a big one and I bought it to press card firmly and evenly on to my Silhouette cutting mat so they are quite versatile tools ! xx
ReplyDeleteROFL, Faith, just too funny! Love the background. :-D
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card with a hilarious sentiment! LOL Love the inside too and a great save from having to buy a brayer!
ReplyDeleteYou've created an outstanding scene Faith! Love the insides too! Wonderful that you saved money using a brayer you had on hand~
ReplyDeleteYou always make me laugh Faith! This is so brilliant with the WC Fields quote and I love all your little details like the suitcase and the brayered EF background. Vicky x
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun, fun, and super cute card! It made me laugh! Boy did that wall paper roller come in handy for you, great idea. Love how your background came out, it is so beautiful. This safari guy reminds me of Mr. Howe off of Gilligan's Island. lol Love that suitcase you made too Faith, great job with that. The tent is lots of fun too, but it is the speech bubble sentiment that cracks me up the most. lol Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous design, Faith! Love all the wonderful details you included!
