Hi Everyone, sorry for my lack of visits, I'm still not 100% and the beautiful weather we are having is helping me to sit outside to read and relax, I have been forgetting housework etc and saying to heck with it. Which is not me at all, I could get used to it if the weather keeps like this though LOL.
Anyhow my DT project for today is for the new challenge at QKR . After the Summer break it's been decided to have our challenge as bi-weekly. On the 1st and 15th of every month, so you have 2 chances every month to enter the challenge.
We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede or Eureka Stamps image
and 1 using any image!
Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month
Something a little different for me today. I made a bookmark! nothing fancy, but great to keep my pages marked whilst outside. I love this little bear sitting on his books. The photo hasn't come out in the colours very well, he has more colour than this and you can see the shadows more, why does that happen?
I paper pieced him in Photoshop with book papers and coffee papers, both suit each other I thought LOL. I added a couple of elements and of course a tassel.

Book Bear
papers & elements - Pixelscrapper
tassel - stash

ReplyDeleteThe weather is very nice here too. Hot!! Just one more day.
Love your bookmark and cute image thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you've been a bit under the weather and am glad that you could spend some extra time. It's good to enjoy the nice weather while we've got it!
ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry that it's been ages since I've popped round for a visit. As everything is online for work these days, I've had enough of screens by the end of the day! I'll try to visit more often though. I do get your emails!
Your bookmark is adorable! I love the big belly sticking out of the bear's shirt!
It’s really lovely Faith, hope you are soon fully recovered xx
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are not back to 100% Faith, it takes time to get over the flu and get back to normal. Especially as we age! Sucks the life right out of you I know. So you keep sitting outside and reading for as long as you can. The housework will be there when you are feeling up to it. I am so loving your bookmark! How cute is this little bear sitting and reading his pile of books?! And how true is the sentiment, "so many books....so little time". That is my problem. I love reading, but either fall asleep or don't have as much time as I want to read. lol This little guy will help you keep your place in a great book! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh, I think the paper pieced bear is absolutely fantastic! See what sitting outside in the sunshine can do for your creativity? You read books and make bookmarks. :-D
ReplyDeleteAwesome bookmark! The paper piecing on your bear is amazing and I love the tassel! Great project and one that is beautifully executed!

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you're still not 100% Faith. With all the focus on Covid it's easy to forget that there are other illnesses out there. I think it's a great idea to let the housework wait while you recuperate and I'm pleased the weather is nice enough for you to do so outdoors with a good book. Your bookmark is lovely and must make you smile every time you open your book. Do take care won't you and don't do too much too soon. Hugs, Vicky x
ReplyDeleteA super bookmark Faith, I like what you did keeping your theme together. CarolG
