I was the most stressful time, I've had in a long time, but it's all together and after learning to use the new appliances, I have actually baked a cake (lemon drizzle) something I haven't done in about 20 years, and I was thrilled that it came out and tasted beautiful.
When I went back to work full time, hubby took over everything, I was so very lucky. BUT, it meant I didn't do anything, as it was all done when I came home. The downside to this is that now retired I have to relearn everything. I did everything for the first 30 years of marriage, then lost all my house skills. I know doesn't seem possible! it's true though.
Anyway here are a few piccies of the new kitchen. My roof window is the most incredible thing to me, as the kitchen was always dark, especially in Winter, at first we thought the electric light was on in the kitchen LOL. I LOVE the light it brings.
It's a very simplistic room, nothing fancy or expensive, as I wanted something easy to clean and boy is it easy. I love the induction hob, so quick, I love my oven it actually works, not like the last one! We have a dishwasher the first for over 30 years!!! and an integral fridge/freezer, not too impressed with the inside size, if I had known I would have had a free standing one, but hey! it's great. The floor is easy to clean and doesn't show marks, BUT does show if I drop something! All in all I am thrilled with it. It's only a small room, but it's easy.
this is the poster you can see above, in the corner, I cut it out on the Silhouette Cameo from vinyl, it's an svg file from Creativefabrica, I made it an A3 size, says it all for me!
Enjoy your new kitchen, Faith. I love the elegant white colour you chose! Happy New Year, my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks fabulous Faith, lovely and bright - we have two roof lights in our kitchen, they are brilliant aren't they, they let in some much light. I actually photograph my cards under one of them.
ReplyDeleteYour poster is fabulous it looks perfect on the wall.

Faith, it looks awesome and I am glad that you are happy in your new space. Sometimes we just need a break from the cards for awhile for the Mojo to come back. Do what makes you enjoy because life is too short.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely Faith, mine is very similar and I love how easy it is to clean without any knobs or handles. I have an induction hob too, took me a little while to get used to it but I love it now xx
ReplyDeleteWowzers! I am so loving your new kitchen Faith!!! It's so sleek and shiny and beautiful! Is that your fridge in the second photo with the vent at the bottom? If so, it does look a little narrow, but pictures can be deceiving. Love the sign you made too, I want to make some tea towels with that saying on it. lol I know you have to be thrilled with your new kitchen, I know I am totally loving it!!! Hugs, Brenda

Beautiful fresh looking kitchen! I'm not a great cook & love not having a big kitchen to clean--close to the size of yours, I'd say. Love the poster & all the windows above your sink!
