Unexpected item???

Hi Everyone, my DT post today is for

I really didn't have a clue and then I saw a card that put an idea in my mind, BUT I didn't have the item! What to use instead? after a few hours, literally, it came to me! - Makeup remover pads!!!! I was so pleased with the idea I made 2 cards! LOL

To make them more stable, the layers part easily don't they? I sprayed them with hairspray (didn't have spray glue) until they were soaked. Let them dry and put them into my stamp platform.

When I pressed the stamp down I found it debossed the pad, BUT didn't add the colour, may have been the old inks I used. Anyhow, as they were debossed, I coloured the part with the pen, then to seal it, I added Versamark to the stamp and embossed the pads.

Onto the card with a computer written sentiment. I'm not too sure of it's success, but loved trialing it. btw, the sentiment looks wonky! I thought it wasn't until I saw it here, so will have to remove it and correct it, isn't it funny that in real life you don't see it?

My second card is using a die for the 2 pads, I thought it would make an ideal igloo? I stretched them slightly to fit the oval shape, then added a shadow with the Sheena Douglass Sparkle pens, added some glitter glue, which picked the layer up slightly, I think it's OK though.
