I coloured the image in PS, then added an embossing effect, a curves layer, and a colour burn effect to the image. I was just playing with different things and I loved how this made the "painted" image look, so went with it.
The rose layer has been cut and 3D'd and Nuvo drops added to the centre and just below the sentiment. The card was based on the Bugaboo sketch SSS602

Beautiful card, Faith. I love the rich colours of the lovely flowers. xx
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning and I need to make time to read your tutorial for coloring in PS! LOVE the flowers and especially the design of this gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Faith. I love your 3D roses! Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteCan I just say "Gorgeous" and cover it all?! I really like the halo effect around the richly colored petals, and the starburst centers. When Carol L. learns your PS tricks, she can come south and teach 'em to me! Also love the design layout you've chosen. As always, great work with the PS skills. TFS & Happy wkend.
ReplyDeleteThe roses look stunning Faith, love the effects you have used. I’m a bit ashamed that I don’t take time to make the most of Photoshop as I really only use it for photo editing so it’s a bit of a waste of a great program. Maybe it’s because I use Illustrator so much for my designing and I expect Photoshop to work in a similar way which it doesn’t really - need more hours in a day ! xx
ReplyDeleteWow--this is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWrong image or not, Faith, this is gorgeous! Love, love, LOVE the deep reds and greens on the roses and leaves.
ReplyDeleteWow, Faith, what a stunning card! I LOVE the way you've coloured and manipulated the image, the effect is amazing. Great choice of colours too, the deep red and green look fantastic together. Well done!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Beccy
