Anyhow - No 3 of the 3 in a day cards.
This is for the Outlawz Progressive Challenge, the image is Fifi by Ppinky Dolls, as always all laid out and coloured in PS, I followed the "vintage" colour theme for the challenge at Scrapbook.com.
I dry embossed the background paper, then die cut the shape behind the image and used the waste as corner "buttons", I added 3D gloss to the buttons. The sentiment came from the web. I followed a sketch I had in 2011, sorry don't know where from, just that it has CPS199 as the file name. The curved square shape is from Pixelscrapper, DP's by Dawn by Design. Embossing folder is by Memory Keepers. Die is by Tattered Lace.

I love that you used the "punch outs" as part of the design. I think the colors worked perfectly for this. Thanks for playing at Scrapbook.com Inspirational Card Challenge.

When I saw this earlier over at The Outlawz, I didn't realize the 'buttons' in the corners were the negatives from the die cut. How clever of you, my friend!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, would you just look at that cutsie kitty cat! What a pretty card Faith, and I just adore that sentiment!! So true, isn't it!! happy day to you my friend :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! What a sweet little image to go with the sentiment - so true! Love the dry embossing - lots of texture.
ReplyDeleteGosh Faith, sometimes we just get behind with comments, and if Blooger is playing up as well, one just gets fed up and does something else! So not to worry. I'm doing some catch-up this afternoon. Love this cute little image and even more, love the background texture. Nice to see the debossed side & like the lacy little mat you've tucked behind little Miss & her kitty. Take care. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeletenice work !
