Dance couple

Hi Everyone, my offering for you today is of an image by Create with TLC that I haven't used for a long time in fact it's HERE in 2012. I loved it then and now. Anyhow on to my card.

The Sketch Challenge at the Outlawz calls for an oval shape, so a file search and found this elegant couple and sentiment by Create with TLC I had already done it B&W, now what colours was I to use, luckily to make it easier for me, I had seen on Jackie's blog that there were free digi papers HERE, well I can't turn down freebies so off I went and saw these, they were so pretty I had to use them. cor! I don't 'arlf go on don't I? all this rambling.

To cut a long story short, I enlarged the image so that the dress was over the edge of the frame. I paper pieced the dress and coloured the one couple of the digi, added it to an oval shape in PS and coloured the background,  The scallop border, which I also made and paper pieced were sent to the Cameo and print and cut with an extra layer for the couple.

I layered the background papers and added the other layers adding dimensionals to the couple, added the bow with a sentiment on top and then used silver gel glitter pens to the dress. (I LOVE the pens).
I'm not too happy with the colour of the papers in the photos, they should be more turquoise, but it was the light at the time I took them - drat! The card is so pretty in real life.

  8. Love the way you've extended her frilly skirt out of the oval aperture, it really added so much dimension to the image (you are always SO clever with your ideas & digis). Also like the way you've used the same 'fabric' of her dress as the pretty side scallops too. Skillful paper piecing as well. A beautiful card, cleverly done, as always. And I enjoy your ramblin' on too. Just like being there having a chat! TFS & Hugs
