Time for a birthday

Hi Everyone, have to tell you we today it has been absolutely persistently raining for a change!!!!!! it rained so hard the water was up to the pavement, (sidewalk).  A perfect day for being at home and playing! in between getting up and walking around and lying down, anyone got any good ideas to get rid of sciatica, I've had it for about 6 weeks now and I'm getting fed up of the pain and restriction of movement, I am willing to do anything, within reason :) to get rid of it.

Anyhow on to my card for today, it's the one I couldn't post yesterday, I'm still not happy after taking it again, I couldn't do better as it has been so dark, but at least it's near enough to the original colours this time.

My niece's husband is now over the 50 mark, poor thing LOL. so I made this card for him if you look the"hands" are pointing to after 5.  The text paper is by Just So Scrappy, the clock paper is one I made myself, from various clock face files I have. I played around in Photoshop to get what I wanted and was happy with it, the tab paper is by Shabby Princess, the clock die is from Free SVG.com, the hands are from i2clipart a freebie which I duplicated to make the clock hands. Have you noticed, they are hands pointing? I added buttons from Papermania and that is my card.  oh! yes! and I cut out the tag with an Xcut die.  Everything printed and layered onto the card.

Here are the challenges I am entering.

  1. I love that clock face, Faith, especially the wiggly hands! What a great card for a bloke!

I hope your sciatica improves soon! Have you tried an ice-pack (bag of frozen peas!) or a hot water bottle applied to the painful area? If it's lasted several weeks you might want to see your Doctor in case it's a sign of something nasty like a slipped disc!

Sorry, I seem to have turned into an old Grannie full of advice lol!!

    love Mags B x

  8. Sorry you are having so much rain Faith it wasn't too bad for us just a bit damp. Can't help with the sciatica either but it must be so depressing for it to be going on for so long. Your card is great, especially love the clock hands, a lovely composition.
