Baby card and present

Hi Everyone, been a few days and I've left you in peace, but it's over and here I am :) it's a beautiful day here, but not the lovely warm weather you have had in the East,  at least we have the sun today after 3 really miserable days.

For today I have a baby card and nappy (diaper) cake I made for one of the girls in work, when we had a "shower" and leaving for baby lunch. The card was based on a Less is More sketch I had hoped to enter, but didn't get around to it, (as usual) the quote is from Create at TLC, I played with it in PS and then matched the lovely teddy from the Blue life digi kit by Designs by Brigit to match the beautiful ribbon.  The "cake" was wrapped in a floral cellophane I bought years and years ago.  I'm glad to say she has had her baby boy and both are thriving.

Do you remember me showing you a photo of a blackbird, who was having a bath and I told you he had white tail feathers, no? never mind, here he is with his back to me so you can see quite clearly his white tail feathers.

I am entering the following challenges.

  5. Your blackbird has partial albinism, it seems to be more common (in the UK) in blackbirds than other species. It can be genetic so you may get chicks with white patches too... how exciting! (BTW, if you do I may be round to ooh and aah over them!!)
Any way back to the point of my visit...
    LOVE your baby cake :)
Thanks so much for sharing at Crafty Ribbons this fortnight

  9. Hello Faith - good to see you back. You're not alone with the grim weather - it's been winter in Buckingham again too and I really am getting fed up with wearing woollies and boots now! This is a brilliant project - I love how the 'cake' looks wrapped in floral cellophane and the coordinating card is fab. Thank you for your lovely comment! Vicky x
