Red White and Blue

A red white and blue colours are requested this week at Less is More, so here is my contribution, last week was a shaped card, I was a day or two early with  my apron card, so started making a different card and never finished it, oh! well.

My card has a sentiment EDITED that I thought was TLC Vintage. (Sorry don't know who it's by if anyone can enlighten me I would give credit where it's due.) I have added extra "butterflies and a gradient in PS for the r,w and b border, I added "because", then printed it out onto the card and printed it again on Cuddly Buddly eggshell paper for a better gloss, added Stickles to the "butterflies", cut an extra one out and 3D'd it to the left corner.  I added some r,w and b bling, and penned in a trail for the added butterfly.

I shall be entering the LIM challenge RED WHITE AND BLUE

A few photos of a Woodpecker that has graced us with his presence in the garden, I have to admit I had never seen one before and had to Google to find out what bird it was. I didn't think we had such bright birds in this country, shows how much I know about birds besides sparrows, starlings, blackbirds the common birds in most gardens.   The photos were taken inside the kitchen through the conservatory, that is why there is a light streak on them, it is reflecting the window frame.
A Hedge Sparrow, I think, having a bath
Here's the Woodpecker

This appeared on the bird table, it was only about and inch or inch and a half, I took the photo went inside looked back and it was gone, if I hadn't had the photo I would have thought I was imagining things

  9. Gorgeous card, Faith! I love it. Fab photos of the woodpecker. I'm guessing the egg might have been left there by a magpie or a Jay (packed lunch as it were)

And how lucky to have a woodpecker visit your garden. What a mystery about that egg. It looks like a robin's egg to me.
