Rose sympathy

It's been a very cold and VERY windy day here today, hope you are all tucked in and warm, those who don't have the advantage of living where it's warmer :)

I thought I would show you a card I made for the family of an Aunt who passed on a few weeks ago at the grand age of 96.

The roses image I had years and years ago and I have no idea where I got it from, but I love it.  I copied the colours in PS and made shapes then printed the piece behind the roses and the darker one, with the roses image, on Cuddly Buddly eggshell paper so they have a slight sheen, I printed the sentiment onto the card and embossed white card to add texture, added the ribbon and a nice verse inside.  A simple card, but I just love the colours.

I am entering the following challenges, I know the image isn't a digi, but everything else on the card, apart from the embossing and the ribbon, came out of PS and the 'puter hope it will be suitable.

  4. What beautiful roses, Faith! I hope you didn't have to go out with the weather bad. I find that's one of the things I love most about retirement. I don't have to get wet or cold unless I want to.

  5. Such a lovely card with those soft colours Faith. I've been catching up with your blog and you've been making some wonderful cards lately. I love the car for the teenager card and am not surprised it was requested by someone else, and the card you made for the lady who's tracing her ancestry is genius! Vicky x
