Halloween poem

Hi Everyone, I had this poem sent to me and I had to share it, but first I had to "enhance it" with many designers images. I haven't added them here, but if you would like to know who designed anything, give me a shout. I hope Gill likes the images. Yes! This is another poem by my good friend Gill Reed, who is so good at putting poems together, see others HERE.

I hope you all Enjoy Your Halloween.

Christmas Gnomes

Hi Everyone, I have done a lot of DT cards of late and now, in a what the heck do I do now mode! Because of this, I'm on a roll with digital, only because I can't think of anything to do otherwise!

I decided to make a start on Christmas cards and I wanted a frame, so went looking through my files and found this frame which I thought suited the images and colours of the digital kit I wanted to use.  I arranged them onto the frame.  This and the Gnomes were then added to the Cameo, where they were printed out and cut, then the Gnomes were 3D'd onto the frame. Using some found cut out poinsettia leaves, from another project, I added them too. The lanterns were 3D glazed and so were the berries. I also added red glitter around the frame, all then added to the Kraft card.

It's a shame the details don't show up much in the photo, it's much nicer in real life. I have to look at some stamps to get myself going again.

Scrapbook page

Hi Everyone, something a little different today, a digital scrapbook page I did for a challenge and then couldn't get into the site. Anyhow, here are the Great Great Granchildren of my eldest brother. I was sent the photo and couldn't resist using it for the "challenge". My privacy browser wouldn't let me in to the site, I have to find a way around it.

I followed the template, adding little touches to make it a little different. I haven't done a page for a long while and really enjoyed doing it.

Jungle Baby?

Hi Everyone, my card today was requested by a neighbour, her granddaughter is expecting a baby in a few weeks. My neighbour had a hand operation recently and as a card maker, couldn't make it herself. She came over, and I showed her a few images and stamps etc, for her to choose then we got on with designing it, with 99% of her input, it was her card after all.

The theme of her granddaughter for the baby boy she is expecting is, Jungle! Beige and cream. I found this old 2003 image, Yep! I keep 99% of my images, so have a "few" digital images. Anyhow, I die cut the image, the balloons and their "shadows" also the frame with my Cameo, then layered all the images and frame, (I cut 3 of each).

The frame was added to the printed background onto the card, then the Jungle image was added to hang over the frame, the balloons were layered and added behind the printed and cut balloons. It took us over 3 hours to design, cut and for her to take it home with her. Although in that time I had finished another card she had brought for a birthday this weekend. It was so nice to have someone to enjoy crafting with and, we had fun too.

Vase of flowers

Hi Everyone, a post from me today that isn't scheduled weeks or months in advance. I'm hoping after what's been happening in my life, I can now get back to normal!

Anyhow, my SiL was due a birthday and with my mojo missing and still not feeling 100%, my card today is cased from the brilliant Loll Thompson, from here. I knew my SiL would like the flower in the vase, as she is a remarkable flower arranger and loves to have flowers in a vase around the house.

I was gifted some wonderful vases stamps from my blog friend Hetty some time ago, and used the round one, which I stamped and coloured with DI's. One of my dies was used to cut the leaves, and I used the die negative to stencil the leaves onto the card with DO's. I die cut the border and attached it to the card, placing the leaves and vase together onto the border die cut. A sentiment was then stamped and the whole layer was 3D'd onto the main card. I found a lovely sentiment stamp for the insert and off it went, luckily my SiL liked it.

Shrimply? QKR

Hi Everyone, my card today is a DT card this one is for

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

I saw the image and the sentiment on this card on separate days, then happily coloured and made the card, before realising. that this image is a Lobster! (I blame what was going on at the time in the UK when I made this card!) However, I thought in my strange sense of humour that the person who receives will probably know as soon as they see it and I hope, gives them a smile as I hope it gives you one too.

Anyhow, as I said I coloured the image, using DI's, I added a very light blue marker pen around the image. I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out with a die. The background was embossed onto orange card, then rubbed it over DO's with the same colours of the image.

Butterfly Wishes

Hi Everyone, I hope everyone is getting used to the cold? Have you got your heating on?

Apart from DT cards which set me into thinking mode, me and mojo have departed company months ago. My card today, is for my sweet Great, Great Niece who is 5. I heard she loves fairies, so I did a search in my files for fairies and found this card I had made in 2011. It was perfect for me at this time, because of my departed mojo. I decided to remake it, but using my Cameo to cut the images out, it was originally fussy cut, the flowers were also cut and layered, not done last time. I added sparkle and it was done. The printed image and computer generated greeting was added to a yellow card background. Easy, no thinking and in my mind set, no thinking. Not cheating, just a different way of making it, it's still handmade and took time to get it together. I hope you like it. As I hope she will.

Sympathy TMR

Hi Everyone, my card today is for

Clean and Simple is something I try very hard to do. This card came about as I was looking through my stamps and I realised I hadn't used this stamp, and others on the sheet for that matter. Anyhow, I stamped it onto a piece of spare card I had on my desk, just about big enough to die cut it and stamp the sentiment also. I then die cut a frame with a stitched edge, made a mistake while joining up the “stitches” hence the doodle, I think I prefer it this way.

Autumn colours

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the We Love Stamping Challenge I was very thrilled and honoured to have won the Guest spot for October with this card.

The theme is Autumn colours. I started with choosing my stamp, a feather, then decided to make a stamping stencil, for use with my stamping platform, to enable me to make a wreath shape, but I then went further and made it a star shape. Which actually turned out to be a wreath shape when finished, who would guess that, not me!

Anyhow, I die cut a frame to stamp onto, and stamped the feather in white ink and clear embossed it, turning the shape to stamp in each point. After which, I shaded the shape with DO's.

I dry embossed around the star shape, although it can't really be seen. A die was used for the stamped sentiment in matching ink, to add on top of the feathers. Then a die was cut, slightly bigger, into a frame and was used below the sentiment, shaded with the same colours. I stamped another feather using DI's, shaded again with the same colours. I then clear embossed it and added it as the front detail.

This is the most involved stamping I think I have done, so I have to thank Brenda for the push to get me trying things.

QKR Caroling Snowman

Hi Everyone, my card today is one of two DT cards today, I hope you can visit both, this is for

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

A Christmas card was my choice of DT card today, with the fun snowman family singing. Aren't they a happy bunch? I printed and cut the background and the figures with my Cameo. I painted the glow from the lamp first with DI's. Then coloured the background with Distress Oxides, using this scheme. However, after it was finished I realised the colours in the background were the wrong way around, I don't care though, as I think it's a happy card.

The background was spritzed with water and dried with a paper towel, I then dry embossed with a snow background folder. I added a sparkle pen to the snowflakes, but I'm afraid the camera didn't pick it up.

The family were then coloured using the same scheme. The Carolers with 4 layers were then attached to the background. A touch of my usual glaze for the noses. Then added a die, (I have lost the label), was cut 3 times and added to the corner.

Annibearsary CCC

Hi Everyone, I have 2 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

Anything Goes but they MUST feature a critter as the main focus

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter...

I decided to look through older files and see what I could find, and this fabulous image took my eye. I computer generated, then printed out the sentiment and the bears. A blue outline, with DI's, around the printed bears was added.

The outline of the bears were then printed and cut with my Cameo and I coloured them with DI's and a black marker to enhance the nose and eyes. I attached the bears to the background with 3D pads, glazed the eyes, nose and rose. All were then attached to the red mirror card framing layer, small hearts punched and added out of the same card.
