Flower stamping

Hi Everyone, my magazine subscription came yesterday with wonderful stamps, so good that I HAD to stamp straight away. Yes! I know I don't like stamping, but my platform has got me interested and is allowing me to actually get good results, so it looks like I am joining most of you ladies, it has given me another thing to play with, at least it stops me getting bored LOL.

Anyhow onto my card, this is going to my youngest SiL. as I said the stamps were freebies. I also cased a card in the magazine, I need help LOL. I embossed a piece of card and stamped the sentiment, I used the same colour as the flowers to colour it. I stamped onto vellum for all the flowers, leaves and butterflies. I used markers to colour them. I die cut the 70 from vellum and embossed it to match the flowers.

stamps - Simply Cards & Papercraft issue 178
embossing folder - Crafters Companion
Spectrum Noir markers DG2, DG3, CT4, CT3
vellum - Dovecraft
embossing powder Tinsel Snowflake - Papermania
white card - Crafters Companion linen effect
green card - Tonic
Uniball silver and gold glitter pens

Gardening

Hi Everyone my DT post for

This is such a vast subject it caused me no end of what should I do, this is the result. I saw the sentiment on the web and added a little of my own and a little too much doodling methinks!
garden elements - Fontbundles
arranged into a corner and print and cut on on the Cameo with an outline.
trowel - shape copied from the same bundle and traced on the Cameo,
cut out of silver and brown card and shaped.
sentiment printed with the computer.
Nuvo Crystal Drops in the centre of the flowers.

I hope to see you in the challenge, so much you can do with this challenge.
My team mates will help with their fab makes.

Seeing as we are on a garden theme, here's a few piccies of our garden of late.

A beautiful Aquilegia, with newly planted Antirrhinum

close up of the flower

newly planted pots with flowering shrubs

The Runner beans are being planted by hubby and
yes! the lawn really is that green!

The beautiful clematis with our washing line in the background!

18th birthday

Hi Everyone, a card today for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge, in the middle of making this I realised my friends Granddaughter was 18 in a couple of days, so had to make a card and get it into the post. This sketch helped me do it.

I stamped - yep! stamped LOL, onto vellum and used glitter embossing powder to emboss it, cut it out with a die and coloured it with Promarkers. I cut the circle flower frame with my Cameo, embossed card stock then printed paper for the background and printed the sentiment. I hope she likes it.

stamp - magazine freebie
embossing powder - Papermania
vellum - Dovecraft
flower frame - Birds Cards
cross stitch embossed card - craft outlet
basket weave EF - Crafters Companion Texture EF

70 cut card

Hi Everyone, I've been so lazy making any cards, still too many ideas and wanting to do too many new things, making me slow down and do nothing instead. The sun has been a bad influence on me too, I have been spending time in the garden just pottering and telling hubby where to put the plants etc - I can't kneel down, well I can, BUT I can't get back up LOL.

Anyhow, I have made a card for my baby brother. Simple, because I had no idea what to do, perhaps I need pressure to do anything LOL. I had seen a sign by Janet Packer and I liked the sketch white pen effect, so I tried to do it myself. My brother was a professional photographer and still takes wonderful amazing photographs, hence the camera on the front.

I know I have said it before but, I LOVE my Cameo.
adapted card design - Shirleys Cards
black card - Dovecraft
silver card - stash
Uniball White Pen
insert camera (on a pop up) - Create With TLC

insert - simple, but plenty of room to write a message below the 70.

TTCRD challenge

Hi everyone there is new
Anything Goes challenge over at
sponsored by

the prize is 2 digital stamps

My card today is using the fabulous "Land Ho"  image, I thought it appropriate for hubby for Father's Day, (I know a little early for the UK, but at least then I won't forget) his Grandfather was Norwegian and the story goes that he got shipwrecked and was washed up on the East coast of Britain!  I don't know if it's true! but I thought I would do a play on the story and use this wonderful Viking image.

Flowers! and a moan

Hi Everyone a few piccies today, hope you won't get bored! I've been lacking mojo, at least that isn't quite right, I have so many ideas I can't start on one, because, as soon as I think of one, another pops into my head making it impossible to start. and the last one has gone and the second is going with a third coming in. I sound a little mad, but there you knew that didn't you?

In the meantime here's some piccies of the garden this week.

 pink Camellia

red Camellia

pink Camellia in full bloom

beautiful Rhododendron

berberis thunbergii

our Acer palmatum tree has flowers in Spring? They are so tiny.

Photinia Red Robin and a lime green Euphorbia

a little Azealia, it's about 8 - 10 inches tall,
but the flowers are about 3 inches across

greenhouse with a selection of plants mostly for the front garden this year, hubby wanted to slow down a little. Although - he has added a packet or two of seeds in the additional little greenhouse he has. It's been so cold that the Antirrhinum on the top left are later going out that should be.

this is a NEW Variety of brambles,
it has flowers which  look like dog poo in plastic bags!!!!!!!!!! -

It's at the back of our garden and filthy people throw the dog poo bags into it instead of taking it home. Hubby has taken it upon himself to remove it and dispose of it properly.
