Stamping and watercolouring!

Hi Everyone, my card for

I  had a looky through my files, then the stamps I have and decided on the bird on a spade handle! It took me a while to put it together as the theme is snow, so I tried, what a lot of you do, and watercolour brushed the background. I have to say I am pretty pleased with myself, it's something I have tried over and over to do and failed, but it seems to have worked on this background, I even masked the bird and handle off, to do it. I may make a stamper after all - well, maybe! I can only hope.

I then decided to add a snow background with a stencil I have, but it didn't work, so I used a glue pen through the holes and added silver glitter, I thought it may have spoiled it, so I added white pen onto the glitter, mmmm! it seems to have hidden a bit of glitter. I cut it all out using a die added it to silver mirror card and it was done.

(The card looks curved as I hadn't flattened it in my Calibur, before taking the photo.)

Faith, this is a work of art! I love your background and I love the snowflakes which have that lovely feathery look that snow has sometimes, and I adore the little bird perched on the spade (although who has been out digging in this weather needs their head seeing to!) AND the sentiment is perfect for your scene too! Vicky x

I love this card with the pretty blue tit on the fork, and that watercolour background is beautifully done Faith, and a great sentiment too. I thought I visited at lunchtime to comment on all the DT but somehow I looked but must have been interrupted and didn't leave the comment..a senior moment I think...lol. Thank you for becoming a follower. x

It's just gorgeous, so atmospheric.

On another note, I decided to get out my ancient silhouette sd - OMG took me 2 hours to register and cut and then it stopped working. How you do all you do is beyond me!

What a beautiful card, Faith! I love the big popping up bird!!!!
And: I tried to order etching cream from UK, but the seller answered that they cannot send this product in Greece. US and Australia have huge shipping costs. So, as this cream does not exist in my country, I bought a similar glass frosting product from a local store. Soon I am going to use it! I am curious to see the result. Kisses!!!
