Travelling rabbit?

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the Limited Runs Progressive challenge on FB. I decided to use the image for our Great Nephew's 21st. He's a well travelled lad, so thought of him on his travels. LOL

Watering can

Hi Everyone, you know me as a "cheap" crafter! -

Every week there is a free Design of the Week at Silhouette Design Store and this week it was a watering can, when I visited the Silhouette UK blog, I found that Karen had written on how to cut it differently, something I hadn't done previously, so I HAD to try what she had done and this is the result. This was made as a trial cut, but after I cut it I thought it OK to go onto a card.

It would have been better, I think, if I hadn't decided to colour it with Promarkers and Spectrum Noir markers after I made it. I'm not one to usually throw away what I finish, so this will go to someone I know.

One Layer!

Hi Everyone my DT card today is for

the Anything Goes, no problem, one layer, I could have gone digital, my first choice, then I thought, cmon on girl this is a challenge - so -

I stamped - YEP! me using a stamp and colouring it, that gives me something to be chuffed about - I think! - I'm not good with even thinking what to do or how to design with stamps AND CAS, that really is a challenge for me. I don't have inks to speak of, so CAS it had to be.

This is my attempt.
stamps - magazine freebies
using Spectrum Noir markers
emboss borders - Tattered Lace

11th and Welsh Cakes!

Hi everyone, here is a rocker card I did for our great Nephew. I'm glad to say he was happy with it.
paper - Craft Sensations
embossing folder - Embossalicious Argyle
all cut on the Silhouette Cameo
metallic silver luster rub ons over the numbers

Now for my Welsh cakes, you saw the state of the bakestone here -
here it is in the middle of baking. I seasoned it twice and spread butter to grease it to cook, no stick yippee! I should have rolled them a little thinner than I did. Should have known better!

here they are in the middle of cooking, I haven't got the temperature quite right, so they were cooked on the outside and not in the middle, that's when they get moved to the cooler outside to continue cooking without burning.

The end result, with  some sugar added while hot off the bakestone, a little burned, BUT I know what to do next time with the temperature, I think I may have been a little excited to do them LOL. They were accepted and eaten quite quickly and were yummy. After nearly 27 years of not making them, I am very pleased. I also have orders, off  hubby and son, to make them again SOON!

Spring

Hi everyone, my card today is one that I put together after seeing a challenge.
I just love these Funky Rabbits LOL. As the card is for our Great Nephews in addition to their Easter eggs. I thought it would suit them.

print and cut with Silhouette Cameo
sentiment - I saw on the web, computer generated

background carrot paper / frame - Hugware, no longer available
grass - Design by Ziska

Here's the video of them shaking! I don't seem to get the movie the right way up LOL.

Just a little something else, nothing important you can skip this if you prefer.

- I haven't made Welsh cakes ( info/recipe all butter is better! ) for years and years, but with me getting back into cooking! with the new kitchen, I decided to make some, went looking for my bakestone that I had soon after we married nearly 53 years ago and couldn't find it! I used a heavy frying pan, but it wasn't the same for me and I burned them more than not.

I ask hubby if he had seen it around, "Oh! yes" says he, "it's holding down my small greenhouse!" "I want it back" says I.

I saw the state it was in and had recently seen how Coca Cola removes rust. I never drink it, so had to buy a bottle, into a bowl it went with the bakestone, me expecting a clean and rust free finish!
during the process

After Coca Cola! a little better, but still not fit for use.

After hubby spent a few hours grinding the rust off both sides

Now all I have to do is
"season" it a few times and hope it will be back to it's old self in a little while. We'll wait and see!

Pause?

Hi Everyone, as I've not been making much recently, I thought I would share something I did for my son for Christmas. As some of you may know he is a gamer and I saw this quote somewhere? I thought it so apt, I cut it out of Heat Transfer Vinyl with my Cameo and added it to a T shirt I bought. I'm not sure he liked it, perhaps it was too close to the truth LOL.

I hope I am catching you all with your recent posts. I have a couple of new followers, Thank You, but don't have a link back to your blogs, if it's you, please leave a comment so I can visit and become one of your followers. Thanks.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Tartan Day

Hi Everyone, I've been made aware that the 6th April is Tartan Day and The Male Room Facebook Group is having a Tartan event. The  project doesn't need to be a new one, it's a fun event, but it must include tartan. This is the card I did. It's a play of one I did HERE. Have a look and see if you have something you could join in with.

Anyhow, my card today is for

Hubby's birthday is coming up in the middle of the month, so I decided to use the challenge to make his card. Yep! it's a male Spring Chicken LOL

BBQ King?

Hi Everyone, thank you for visiting when I have been such a bad blogger recently. Not my choice, but the worst flu I have had for about 30 years AND the first time I have had the flu vaccination - a link?

Please accept apologies for not visiting your blogs and enjoying your beautiful projects. I won't be able to catch up, as I have to catch up at home on lots of things I've missed this last 5 weeks!

Anyhow my card today is for the Limited Runs progressive FB Challenge, we were given this cute little chappie and I decided to give him a background to sit in.
