A Greeting

Hi Everyone, today my card is for the Outlawz sketch challenge. One I like to participate in as it's always a challenge to use the sketches.

This time I used a sentiment instead of an image, quite a change for me. I stamped it in black, but it was too stark, so stamped it with the aid of my stamping platform a few times in pink on top of the black, I think it worked?

Anyhow, this is my card.
paper - Craft Sensations paper pad.
pearls - stash
cut file circle- Birds Cards
sentiment - stamp free from magazine
around the background edge - Sheena Douglas sparkle pens
die - Sue Wilson square pin dot
pearls - stash
white pearl card - Crafters Companion.

Perfect take on the sketch and a pretty colour combination. Yes the over stamping on the sentiment really does work and looks great.....where would we be without the stamping platform? x

Love how you were able to alter the sentiment color via stamping over it! It turned out to be a fun and great card - even without an image ;)

What a great take on the sketch Faith! I am so loving the sketch as it is so unique. Your take is fabulous, those papers you used are beautiful and I love the just a sentiment on this card. I can't believe you stamped pink onto of black ink! it looks great! I think a navy blue ink would have look great too. Loving this blue, pink and white color combo. Hugs, Brenda

That's a really fun sketch, Faith! I love what you did with it! I think the pink worked really great over the black too. Never would have guessed there was black under there but really like the shade of pink! Great card! :o)

This is very pretty. Brilliant idea to overstamp the dark with the pink. Wouldn't have thought of that probably but it did work well. Love the doily and I really like how you've done that focal point of the sketch with the tag holding the sentiment. That is a nice design detail and your card is great! TFS & Hugs
