Stamping!!!!!!

Hi Everyone, just a post to let you know I have decided to really try "Stamping". I am a digi girl at heart as my card making started in the 1990's with the Printmaster Platinum DVD going on to Photoshop many years ago.

What decided me? well I have subscribed to a card making magazine and they give freebies each month of stamps and dies, so I now have a growing selection that I haven't used. Hence last week buying a stamp platform with some birthday money. Here is my first attempt. used in conjunction with my Cameo to make the box from a card pack by Craft Sensations. The box was for a present.

here is another trial for another present, with a recycled bag.

this is the present inside the bag,
a glass I embossed with the help of my Cameo.

I thought I would share a photo of our crocus last week.

Lovely gifts Faith. I have quite a few stamps too but never seem to get a good result even with a platform - you seem to have got the knack though xx

Your gift box is stunning with that gorgeous buttery ribbon and tag! First thing I did when I got my TH platform was to get both magnets stuck together somehow. Took quite a time to get them apart again! LOL Love the etched goblet - we were married in 1968, so that's perfect for our upcoming 50th anniversary! Thanks! LOL

Welcome to the world of rubber, my friend! lol I started with rubber and cling stamps and avoided digis for the longest time (not truly understanding them) but once I discovered them, I got rid of most of my wood mounted, rubber stamps and even my clear stamps went off to better homes. A few treasured stamps stayed with me but I use them only rarely.

I predict you will take to 'actual stamping' every bit as much as you've done to PS and the cameo. I'm loving your first efforts, and I bet you will love that platform. It's great if your first inking doesn't turn out just perfect, you can restamp and not have the shadow outline(although sometimes I can slightly shift things without knowing, and it still messes up for me. But I love the Misti). The stamping on these projects looks perfect to me, and good for you at using the NBUS freebies. And the glass is such a super gift to celebrate this milestone - such a beautiful way to present a wonderful gift! Good for you all round! TFS & Hugs. Happy Easter.

Poor crocus! Hopefully they will soon be able to show their faces in sun! Bet you'll enjoy the stamping platform & using all the free goodies that have been waiting! Great start with these projects!

WOW Faith so good you decided to really try stamping...any kinda stamping accessory like the platform or the misty is a huge help. I prefer stamping to digis as I find printing too much of a hassle and I seem to enjoy embossing quite a bit. Do show your new dies too!!
Cheers
Dr Sonia

Faith, I'm sure you know by now that I'm in awe of your digi skillz (I wouldn't know where to begin!!) The embossing on the glass is just fantastic! I hope you also enjoy getting to grips with stamping, too!
