16th birthday card

Hi Everyone a post of my own at last, as I said yesterday it has been a bit hard for me the last few weeks, but hopefully I am going to follow these words -

Pick yourself up,
Take a deep breath,
Dust yourself off.
And start all over again

Nothing's impossible, I have found
For when my chin is on the ground
I pick myself up, dust myself off
And start all over again

Don't lose your confidence if you slip
Be grateful for a pleasant trip
And pick yourself up, dust yourself off
And start all over again

Work like a soul inspired
Until the battle of the day is won
You may be sick and tired
But you'll be a man, my son

So after all that - my card today is for my Great Nephew in Belgium, it had to be flat to get through the post. I have seen somewhere the concept of "6 teen", which I thought brilliant, but can't remember where I saw it, I had a trial of my new Cuttlebug embossed happy birthday on my desk, so put the 2 together.  Cut it all out on my Cricut, had to add the little inserts in the 6 and e, punched a border added his name - voila, and NO Photoshop can you believe it? well I did do the inside with PS so no withdrawal symptoms after all :)

I used -
Cuttlebug Happy Birthday embossing folder
Double sided Paper by Bo Bunny back to basics
Linen card by Papermill
Border punch by Martha Stewart
Spellbinders Die from the Moroccan Motifs
Ribbon off a jumper!

I find cards for teenagers very hard to do, but you've Aced this, Faith! I love that embossing folder! You'll be surprised at how quickly you find yourself in retirement. You'll wonder how you possibly found time to work!

This is a great teenager card, might have to case this idea as so hard to know what to do for teenagers.
