Baby card and present

Hi Everyone, been a few days and I've left you in peace, but it's over and here I am :) it's a beautiful day here, but not the lovely warm weather you have had in the East,  at least we have the sun today after 3 really miserable days.

For today I have a baby card and nappy (diaper) cake I made for one of the girls in work, when we had a "shower" and leaving for baby lunch. The card was based on a Less is More sketch I had hoped to enter, but didn't get around to it, (as usual) the quote is from Create at TLC, I played with it in PS and then matched the lovely teddy from the Blue life digi kit by Designs by Brigit to match the beautiful ribbon.  The "cake" was wrapped in a floral cellophane I bought years and years ago.  I'm glad to say she has had her baby boy and both are thriving.

Do you remember me showing you a photo of a blackbird, who was having a bath and I told you he had white tail feathers, no? never mind, here he is with his back to me so you can see quite clearly his white tail feathers.

I am entering the following challenges.

Hi Everyone
Just a very quick post for the moment, I am afraid, due to silly people, I have had to put approval to comments.

I hope this doesn't stop you making comments as it's great to hear what people think of my work, good or even critical, after all, it all helps to make me a better card maker, I hope LOL.

Hope you have a good day.

Hope to post a card later.

Poster retirement card

Hi Everyone, don't know much about today's weather as I have had my head down all day in work, so glad I only work 2 days now LOL. Although it is milder a barmy 13C.

I thought I would show you a "poster" card I did for one of the retiring Consultant's in work.  I was in my "creative" what can I do in Photoshop mood, and came across a tutorial that I have followed, bookmarked it to give you the info on it, but it doesn't seem to be in my bookmarks for some reason, I'll trace it and link it at a later date. I learned so much from it and used PS brushes and layers and more layers, with lots of other things I hadn't used before, LOVE it.  Here it is everyone, hope you get to enjoy learning too :) HERE

I know 99.9% of you are stampers and this may bore you, but I was excited by the new learning of what PS is capable of.

Anyhow, the Consultant plays a violin, loves his red wine, musical theatre, and rock climbing, the "card" had to have a lot of pages so that everyone could wish him well.  The card is A4 size, with a greeting page and 6 other pages (making 12 for signing, I added images and also quotes on every inside page from Create with TLC) - this is what I came up with "in my creative mode".

I didn't add any embellishments as it will be handled by too many people (over 200) I just hope it will look OK after they have finished it.  Thankfully it was well received by the main Sister organising things for him.

No challenges, don't think type of thing would be suitable for any, unless I find some PS ones LOL.

60th birthday card

Hi Everyone, miserable weather here today, but at least the rain and milder temperature is helping the grass grow and make things look greener than they have of late.

My offering today is a card following Bugaboo sketch SSS109, the image is Alyssa from Digi Stamp Boutique, (as my friend's hair is short, I erased the lovely tied up hair) I coloured her in PS, the digi papers are from a digi kit, Lucky in Love by ETC at Digichick.  The 60 is on a circle from the same kit and is layered as as are the rest of the papers. I printed out a plain paper and punched it with a Martha Stewart punch.

Here is the card.

The challenge I'm entering is

A look at a T. shirt I made for the same girl who is 60 next week, we had a birthday lunch out yesterday and really enjoyable it was too.  As we were going out, I made the T. shirt so she could wear it in the restaurant whilst there, she wore it with pride I am glad to say, and, had many more greetings from strangers too. The digi stamp I used is Stella Peeker Another Drink by Bugaboo, the sentiment is part of the stamp set.

Humour

Hi Everyone, I'm writing on our first day of light rain and warmer temperatures, the sun has just come out and I'm fee - eeling goooooooood.

Yesterday we had a film added to our glass conservatory roof which lowers the UV and glare in it, so with the sun today, there is a little less glare on us.  I can recommend the film.

On to my card, I made it for my BIL for his 80th birthday, he has never been a sport interested man, but because his grandsons are sporty he has been going with them while they play football (soccer) and rugby.  He has even been telling us about  the games, so his card HAD to be to do with football.  I got the digi stamp "dunderton accademicals FC_COL" from Dr Digi and, a change for me, got the ready coloured version.  The image apart from the belly and the moustache is my BIL.  Luckily he loved it.

I downloaded a football pitch and in PS added 80 to the grass, you may think that I have missed out the "do" in the sentiment, but that is how it's said around here LOL.  I decoupaged the man and ball, and layered the sentiment too. I like doing picture style cards and this is one of them.

Shaped card

Hi Everyone, I am still in trepidation each time I try and post as to whether I can or not, I've been lucky with my last 2 posts so lets see if this will behave. I don't really know what it's about, but think it may have something to do with Google, as it's there that people are complaining about not being able to post.  Google don't seem able to replicate the problem, so that lets the people in trouble out on a limb and VERY angry too.

Anyhow, let see how this goes? ( EDIT - It seems to have worked Yipeeeeeee!)

I saw that there is challenge asking for shaped cards and as I had just made one, thought I would enter, so here goes.

The image is Rockstar Girl #3 by Karen Middleton at Sweetpea Stamps, I have used her a couple of times recently. The floral paper is from a digi kit You Make Me Smile by Elle Designs, I Glamour Dusted the stars and added more of the same kit to her top and patches on her trousers in PS, I cut the shape out and 3D it onto the rocker shape.  The sentiment is by TLC. I thought the sentiment said it all and in a way made it a CAS card.

The challenge today is

A wedding card

HI Everyone, I hope this is a successful post today!! there are so many people in my position who can't post and are having the same error code come up when they try to post.

Anyhow a quick post tonight, it is a wedding card that I have been asked to do for the same wedding as the purple flower layer in my previous post HERE.  This had to be quite different and she was not fussy what it was like as long as it was purple.  I used parts of 2 digi kits in it, Peacock by A-Manda Creations and Yesterdays Blooms by Booland Designs both at Digital Scrapbook Studio, I added some flat pearls stuck onto part of the pearl swirl. I decoupaged the frame and ribbon. I'm glad to say she loved it.

70th birthday card

I'm trying AGAIN to post, all sorts of problems when I try Blogger still telling me that "Whoops an error", so I am now trying on Explorer instead of Firefox. Still not right so have gone to Chrome to try!!!!!!!!!!!  Wow it works, yippee

I have tried to do this one 3 times already.  Here goes for the 4th time.

I have used a sketch from Kraftyhands, I  will use this again, such a great sketch.

The papers I have used are from a digi kit Daydream a MSA Hot Spot Collab at Scrapflower

The image is one that suited me I downloaded from the internet, also the mugs and the other items.  It was all for a man who is a Freemason, Pharmacist, drives a 4x4 and runs a soup kitchen, wears glasses and seems to never come off his computer, but with so much going on his life can't see how he has time LOL.  I added his name in the text circle. All done in PS.  I then layered it all and added a bit of sparkle on the dotted paper. The sentiment is from TLC
